Simard Automotive can serve all of your tire needs. We can provide you with most tires on the market. Our current favorite tire is made by Toyo called the Observe.
This tire uses "Microbit Technology" to grip the road in the worst of Fairbanks ice and snow conditions.
Although Observe was developed for winter driving, we have several customer using these tires as a year round alternative to tire change outs. This works best on light duty vehicles. We also find good dry road handling, moderate noise, great water disbursement, and excellent ice and snow traction.

Thank you for recommending the Toyo Observe to me as the tire of choice. As you know, I drive about 36,000 miles per year with approximately 5 months of the year on snow and/or ice. I now have over 36,000 miles on the Toyo's that I put on in the autumn of 2008 and I still have about 50% tread life remaining.
The most surprising result of the Toyo Observes was how well they hold the road on snow or ice. I didn't expect to have stud-less tires perform as well as the studded tires that I have historically used in the winters of Northwest Montana but these Toyo's bite every bit as well as studded tires and I feel very safe and secure coming downhill from our house to the main road on almost 3 miles of snow and ice between early November and late March.
